I am a Ph.D. candidate in Technology and Operations at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. Starting in 2025, I will be joining the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University as an Assistant Professor of Operations & Decision Technologies.
My research focuses on developing mathematical models at the intersection of operations, marketing, and engineering. More recently, I have become interested in sustainable operations, with particular emphasis on energy markets and battery storage systems.
I have several working experiences that shaped my lifetime goals. I co-founded and led a start-up for blind masseurs (ChamSonGil Cooperative), which recently opened its 12th branch in South Korea. I also worked at SK Telecom for over a year as a full-time marketer, managing more than 40 retail stores in Seoul, South Korea.
Before coming to Michigan, I earned my B.S. in Statistics and Financial Economics from Seoul National University (SNU) in 2016 and my M.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2019.
